We had a fantastic stay in the middle of nature. The bungalow was clean and comfortable with great beds. The owner and his wife prepared a delicious dinner and breakfast for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. We also went on a safari with the owner's brother and saw lots of animals. It was a great experience and we would definitely come back.
Nothing to fault.

We got amazing value for our money at this lovely hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and had a comfortable bed with a mosquito net. The location, although a bit secluded, provided a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The staff treated us with kindness and were always happy to assist us.
Menu for breakfast could have had more variety.

Loved the quirky bungalows in the jungle setting, especially the surprise visits from local wildlife. The owner was super helpful and the food was delicious. Hot tub access was a bonus for unwinding after a day of activities.
Bugs in the room. but hey, who needs sleep when you have nature's alarm clock!

The location of this guesthouse is exceptional, surrounded by beautiful nature and just a short walk from the elephant orphanage. the one-room bungalows are super clean and very comfortable, providing a peaceful retreat. the food served here is amazing, with the owner's brother offering fantastic safari tours and acting as a knowledgeable guide.
The signage around the guesthouse can be improved, making it a bit difficult to find for first-time visitors.

Wild River Side provided a peaceful and relaxing stay on the edge of the jungle. I loved being immersed in nature, with only the sounds of birds and village life to accompany me. The host and his family were incredibly hospitable, going above and beyond to ensure I had a wonderful time. The food was absolutely delicious, with home-cooked curries that were simply mouthwatering. Additionally, the location allowed easy access to the best local guide for a safari in the nearby national park. I highly recommend this hotel for a tranquil and enjoyable experience.

We had a truly amazing stay at this charming place. The hosts went out of their way to ensure our comfort and happiness. The cottage was lovely, with a spacious porch and beautiful surroundings. We especially enjoyed waking up to the sounds of birds and animals in the nearby jungle. The food prepared by the hostess was absolutely delicious and plentiful. We loved the varied curries and rice for dinner, and the big Sri Lankan breakfast. The host also packed us a great lunch for our safari. The location was perfect, just a short and pleasant walk to the elephant orphanage. this place offered excellent value for money, and we highly recommend it.
We felt so at home during our stay that there was absolutely no reason to complain.

The rooms were spacious and clean, perfect for a comfortable stay. The location was peaceful, surrounded by nature and illuminated pathways at night. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, always available to assist and with a friendly demeanor. They even offered us refreshing coconut water upon arrival. The meals prepared by the host's wife were delicious and not to be missed. organizing a safari through the host's brother was highly recommended, as he knew the best spots to spot animals.
While the hotel was fantastic, there were a few minor drawbacks. it was a bit difficult to find the hotel initially, as the road was not indicated on some maps.

My partner and I had an amazing time at Wild River Side. We stayed for two nights and were blown away by the first-class accommodations, delicious food, and the opportunity to witness a monkey dance in the nearby jungle. The property's location, just 750 meters from the Elephant orphanage, made it a perfect quiet retreat. Sameera, the owner, and his brother Lahiru Prasad, who is the best safari guide in the area, provided us with an unbeatable combination of hospitality and local expertise. If you're looking for a quiet and well-located hotel with excellent accommodations and friendly hosts, Wild River Side is the perfect choice.
